Super Easy, 4-Ingredient Tomato Sauce


This is the easiest tomomato sauce on the planet but probably the tastiest too! The secret is quality ingredients and time... let it simmer until you have saucy perfection!

Makes 4-6 portions 



3 tbs EVOO

1 796ml can of whole San Marzano tomatoes (plain no spices)

6 garlic cloves (minced)

12 leaves


  1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat

  2. When the pan is hot, add the EVOO followed by the tomatoes and let simmer for 5 min.

  3. Using a masher or wodden spoon, crush up the tomatoes

  4. Next add the minced garlic cloves and basil, stir well and continue to let simmer on medium until the sauce has thickened significantly, roughly 15 minutes.

  5. Add half a can of cold water and stir until the sauce is smooth

Season with salt & pepper and chillies if you like some heat! serve with pasta or use a dipping sauce. Enjoy!
