The Best BBQ Sauce


The secret is almost always in the sauce! And this BBQ sauce is so good you can put it on anything and it will taste fantastic. So if you want to score a touchdown with all your friends, grab the recipe in my stories and make this sauce... cauliflower, chicken wings, ribs... just smother it on anything for the win!



3 tbs EVOO

1 796ml can of whole San Marzano tomatoes (plain no spices)

6 garlic cloves (minced)

12 leaves


  1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat

  2. When the pan is hot, add the EVOO followed by the tomatoes and let simmer for 5 min.

  3. Using a masher or wodden spoon, crush up the tomatoes

  4. Next add the minced garlic cloves and basil, stir well and continue to let simmer on medium until the sauce has thickened significantly, roughly 15 minutes.

  5. Add half a can of cold water and stir until the sauce is smooth

Season with salt & pepper and chillies if you like some heat! serve with pasta or use a dipping sauce. Enjoy!
